Electric Aggregation Information
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC AGGREGATION UPDATED INFORMATION AUGUST 2021
Electric Aggregation was authorized by the State of Illinois in 2010, passed by referendum of the citizens of Cortland and approved by the Board of Trustees in 2012 to provide a contracted rate choice for customers.
Due to Regulatory Events Eligo will be terminating its Agreement with the Town of Cortland with the December 2021 meter reads in accordance with the agreement. Therefore, all customers who were "Participating Customers" will be switched to ComEd. The Town and consultant will continue to monitor market conditions and look at rebidding the aggregation program beginning June 2022 when the new ComEd rates are published.
Please direct inquiries to Progressive Energy Group Shawn Ajazi, at 630-882-6100 or 800-856-3404, broker for the Town.
